The Design and Building Experience
At Alpine, we build dreams, not just houses.
The Art of Fine Home Building starts with a great design.
Designing for mountain living in Pagosa Springs brings a unique set of requirements to take full advantage of your property. Snowfall, natural run-off, and winter temperatures are a few of the many considerations in design to ensure a comfortable, durable, and efficient house.
Positioning the home to take advantage of the views, lighting, and natural landscaping are the first ingredients for a well-designed house. We have the ability to work with clients in the design process making each home a unique expression of the clients’ wishes and personal experiences.
Using our preliminary drawing and elevations, we give your home form, function, and beauty. These drawings and elevations are then transformed into a detailed set of CAD working drawings, complete with all engineering details and specs.
After finalizing the design of your home, a concise contract, we create the detailed budget and project specifications to eliminate uncertainty and clarify every aspect of the home construction process. We communicate with our clients each week based on the individual needs of the customer, and the demands of the project.
We are careful to control the amount of work we commit to at any given time to ensure we are able to give proper attention to our current customers and projects underway. We have long-standing relationships with a very select group of tradesmen, allowing us to control the quality and cost of each project.
What We Offer
We develop each design specific to the building site, budget and client’s preferences.
We strive to design efficient, functional floor plans and select quality finishes that create a home of exceptional value.
We design homes according to your specified budget, and we take pride in staying on that budget throughout the project.
Alpine Design and Build offers the convenience of having the entire project managed by a single source, from the initial design and budget meetings to the final move in.
We offer a wide range of affordable green building solutions that save our clients on energy costs, improve indoor air quality and reduce environmental impact.
Our site evaluation addresses building placement, solar gain, view optimization, and infrastructure. This important part of the planning process allows efficient placement of the home on the building site, creating a solid foundation for a successful project.
Alpine Design and Build identifies each client’s individual needs and then develops floor plans and exterior elevations in consonance with the clients’ budget, needs, and preferences.
At this point, you are ready to build! As part of our design service, we provide a complete set of construction blueprints drawn by David Harbur. With extensive experience designing homes for the Pagosa Springs area, David is knowledgeable about the state and county building code requirements and structural design criteria.
In this next phase, we work closely with each client to help select interior and exterior finishes that work with the budget and overall design. We also design custom stone fireplaces, stair railings, tile designs, kitchen layouts, interior timber detailing, built-in cabinets, and custom furniture.
During construction, we maintain constant communication with our clients throughout the entire project. This provides our out of town clients with a worry-free construction process.
Our impeccable craftsmanship and attention to detail create award winning homes and enduring relationships. We live by our motto “Committed to Excellence”, every step of the way!
